City Facts

Aurora was originally incorporated under a different name, Fletcher, in April 1891. It was renamed Aurora in 1907. Aurora is the third largest city in Colorado, with a population of over 330,000. It was rated the eighth safest city in the U.S. It has a culturally diverse population, one of the most diverse in the Aurora/Denver metro area. Residents enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains, tree-lined streets, spacious neighborhood parks and open prairies.

Aurora has a vibrant business environment that includes industries such as high-teach, healthcare, biotechnology, aerospace, renewable energy, military, manufacturing and distribution.
